Functional Specification:
EDTA tubes are used to obtain either a serum sample or a whole blood or EDTA plasma sample. The sample is used for the examination of whole blood in hematology and can be used in direct sampling analyzers without actually being opened. The tubes are coated with K2EDTA or K3EDTA and are available in plastic, a range of sizes and can be identified by a purple cap.
